1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit it. They are widely used to make websites work as expected, to improve efficiency, and to provide information to the website owner. Cookies do not give us access to your device or any information on it beyond what you choose to share with us. You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings at any time.
2. How We Obtain Your Consent
When you first visit Oquilia, a cookie consent banner is displayed at the bottom of the screen. You may choose to accept all cookies or decline non-essential cookies. Your preference is stored in your browser's local storage and respected on every subsequent visit.
If you decline non-essential cookies, we will not load Google Analytics, Google AdSense advertising scripts, or any other optional tracking technology. Only strictly necessary cookies will be set. You can change your preference at any time by clearing your browser cookies, which will cause the consent banner to re-appear on your next visit.
3. Cookies We Use
We categorise our cookies into four types. The table below explains each category, the specific cookies used, their purpose, and their duration.
3.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for the Platform to function. They cannot be disabled because the Platform cannot work correctly without them. They do not track your browsing behaviour across other websites.

- oquilia_search_prefs— Remembers your search filters and preferences across sessions. Duration: 7 days. Set by: Oquilia.
3.3 Analytics Cookies
Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors interact with the Platform, which pages are most visited, how long users stay, and where they come from. This data is aggregated and anonymised. We use it solely to improve the Platform. These cookies are only set if you accept cookies.
- _ga— Google Analytics GA4. Registers a unique ID used to generate statistical data about how you use the website. Duration: 2 years. Set by: Google.

We have enabled IP anonymisation in Google Analytics, meaning your full IP address is never stored by Google in connection with Analytics data. You may also opt out of Google Analytics tracking globally via the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
3.4 Advertising Cookies
Advertising cookies are used to deliver advertisements that are relevant to you and your interests. They are also used to limit the number of times you see an advertisement and to help measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns. These are only set if you accept cookies. For full details of how advertising revenue works on Oquilia, see our Advertiser Disclosure.
- IDE— Google DoubleClick. Used to register and report your actions on the website after viewing or clicking an advertisement. Duration: 1 year. Set by: Google.

4. How to Manage and Disable Cookies
You have several options for managing cookies:
- Via our consent banner: Decline non-essential cookies when the banner appears. We will not load analytics or advertising scripts.
- Via your browser:Most browsers allow you to refuse, delete, or be notified about cookies. Refer to your browser's help documentation: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, and Opera all provide cookie management in their settings menus.
- Via Google Analytics opt-out: Install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on to prevent your data from being used by Google Analytics across all websites.
- Via Google Ad Settings: Visit adssettings.google.com to manage ad personalisation preferences.
Please note that disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of the Platform. For instance, disabling all cookies will prevent the Platform from remembering your theme preference or calculator state.
